Predictive Factors of Positive Emotion among Intensive Care Unit Nurses

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the positive affective nurses of ICU nurses and to provide them as basic data for nurse positive emotions of ICU nurses.
Methods : In this study, data analysis was secondary to Kim 's data. Data collection was conducted from June 12, 2017 to June 21, 2017. First, the researcher visited the nursing department of one hospital in D city and visited nine intensive care units approved by the department of nursing and allowed the questionnaire to be distributed. The collected data were analyzed using M±SD, frequency and percentage, and ordered logistic regression analysis using the IBM SPSS Statics vesion 20.0 program.
Result: The education and clinical career were confirmed as predictors of positive emotions of nurses in ICU. Positive emotions were 1.31 times (exp (B) 1.31, CI .16 ~ 2.46) higher than those of professional bachelors in academic background. Positive emotions were more favorable in clinical career than 5 years and less than 10 years Emotion was 1.75 times (exp (B) 1.75, CI .06 ~ 3.43). In this model, the explanatory power of Cox and Snell is 14.2% and that of Nagelkerke is 16.2%.
Conclusion : In this study, we confirmed the educational background and clinical career as predictors of positive emotions of nurses in ICU. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the development of intervention programs for the promotion and improvement of positive emotions of nurses in ICU.
